Gimme that

A staple meal made healthy! I love the flexibility when it comes to these Healthy Ground Turkey Sloppy Joes. This is a recipe the whole family can enjoy, and it’s great as meal prep. You can eat this meal on cauliflower rice. If you have a carb to spare, you can eat it on rice or a slider bun.

If you like your sloppy joes to taste sweet, I recommend keeping it easy and using a can of Manwich. The sauce in this sloppy joe recipe is intended to have low sugar, but don’t worry – it’s loaded with flavor.

1 lb ground turkey

15 oz can tomato sauce

1 pepper

1/2 onion

1 tbsp minced garlic

2 tbsp ketchup

1 tbsp mustard (brown or yellow)

1 tbsp worcestershire sauce

1 tsp pepper

1 tsp garlic salt

1 tsp chili powder

Serve: on a traditional bun or over a bed of rice. If you want to low carb you can use cauliflower rice.

1. Sautee minced garlic, onions, pepper, and ground turkey in a pan

2. In a bowl mix remaining ingredients

3. When meat is cooked and peppers and onions are soft add sauce to the skillet

4. Lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes
