Bowls are one of the easiest things to meal prep, and I love how you can make them a million different ways. I was inspired to create this recipe from a Hello Fresh meal that Lee and I got from a promo. It was very tasty, and I like keeping the Hello Fresh recipe cards. I realized I could make a few simple swaps to make this meal healthier and quicker to make.
My first swap for a less inflammatory and more lean option was subing ground turkey for ground beef. I increased the quantity of green beans, lowered the soy sauce and swaped it for coconut aminos. Each serving is portion container friendly and a well balanced meal. Give this one a try next time you need a new recipe!

INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 4 cups of green beans
- 1 cup jasmine rice
- 4 tbsp Asian sweet chili sauce
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
- Salt & pepper
Optional toppings: french fried onions, lime, cilantro
INSTRUCTIONS
- Boil 2 cups of water, add 1 cup of jasmine rice, and cook for 10 minutes
- Wash and trim ends of green beans, put in a microwave safe bowl
- Pour water over the beans, cover bowl in plastic wrap, microwave for 4-5 minutes
- Brown ground turkey with salt and pepper
- Drain the grease, add beans to the skillet
- Add butter, sugar, soy sauce, and sweet chili sauce
- Heat until sauces melt, divide rice and mixture into prep containers
- Add optional toppings
- Enjoy!

This is absolutely delicious and one of my favorite meal preps! ❤️
Can you use frozen green beans in this recipe?? I have made before and it was delicious with fresh green beans but we don’t have good produce always in the winter so I’m wondering if I can make with frozen?

So good! Also great with broccoli if you have green bean haters in your home like I do. Try with a fried egg and Sriracha on top. Next level!
