Fact: cold veggies taste wayyy better with a nice dip, right?!
I tip my hat to the special humans who eat plain veggies on a regular basis. Carrots taste much better dunked in ranch, but does that defeat my point of eating the carrot? That’s when I wondered, “what if I could create a healthier version of the dill or french onion dip?” And babe, we did just that.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup plain greek yogurt
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp sour cream
- 1 tbsp ranch powder
- 1 tsp dill
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp parsley
INSTRUCTIONS
- Mix all ingredients together
- Wash and prep celery, peppers, carrots, and tomatoes
- For parties I like to bring pita chips and pretzel crisps too
- Enjoy!
The original dips are mayonnaise and sour cream based. By switching to majority greek yogurt and limiting the mayo and sour cream, you’ll save a lot of calories and fat. The flavor is fantastic, and you get to enjoy eating your veggies again. Make this next time you prep for the week or bring it along when you’re in charge of the veggie tray at the next party.
